Dogs are often called man’s best friend because they do many things for us. They
make great pets and can be good for our health. They also make good guards and provide us with emotional support.

Also, dogs are human’s best friends as all we know because of their loyalty. No need for any explanations to prove that. Heart touching – real-life example is the story of Hachiko, an Akita dog in Japan is one of the best examples to prove it. Dogs are not like other animals. Once you treat them and give them love to dogs, they will do anything for you. Even sacrifice their life to protect yours. They won’t and don’t think twice about it. Being friendly is in dogs’ nature and could be key to how they came to share our lives, say US scientists.

Also, this is not happening with only humans. When dogs make a relationship with
another kind of animal, they will always be with them until they leave. Dogs have been
making friends with other animals for as long as we can remember – Donald “the dog-loving duck” takes a ride on the back of Rusty the cocker spaniel in 1949, according to Getty.

And here it comes a real-life heart-touching story of a goddess dog.

Arriving of a new friend

Cheryl Stephen has a 9-year-old German shepherd dog named “Sarge”. And Sarge is
very loyal to his owner. One day Cheryl saw a helpless innocent fawn on the road. This
innocent creature was injured, and Cheryl couldn’t leave it there. She brought it home. When Sarge got eyes on that creature, he didn’t panic. Sarge has a sense of that fawn and has a feeling about it like his siblings. He got the front line to care about and look after that fawn. Cheryl was amazed by Sarge’s actions. Cheryl named that deer Buckwheat. She said that Sarge took to Buckwheat instantly, he desired to be involved in every stage of caring for Buckwheat and took on the role of Buckwheat’s guardian.

The friendship between Sarge and Buckwheat

Most of the time, having a friendship with a dog is a privilege. Because one dog
falling a friendship with someone they never leave their friends, even both sad and happy.
Proving that fact, the relationship between Sarge and Buckwheat turned into a true friendship quickly and stronger. Doesn’t matter the size of the Buckwheat. Sarge gave his full effort to make a comfort zone around the fawn by making friendly barks, wagging his tail, hopping, and running around it. Also, Buckwheat wasn’t afraid to be with Sarge. It followed Sarge, seeking his protection and comfort.

Buckwheat is good now

Through time the bond between Sarge and Little Buckwheat became unbreakable.
Sarge was just like the bodyguard of Buckwheat, always on attention to keep the little fawn
safe and protected from any potential threat. Also, the Buckwheat didn’t leave from the
Sarge’s close. Sarge was used as a pillow to the fawn. Buckwheat was always snuggling up
next to Sarge. It seemed Sarge was the guardian of the little kiddo. Also, he had relished the role of showering the little fawn with attention and affection. Buckwheat just looked like
Sarge’s older brother. Sarge got a thrill and was happy when the fawn recovered and stood up again.

Cheryl said that: Sarge would walk by Buckwheat’s shed and prevent him from getting
lost when they took him outside.

Sarge’s new friends

When the times up, Buckwheat grew and became too big to stay in the house, so he no longer needed Sarge’s help and look. Then little fellow was ready to go back to the outdoors. As for Sarge, there were many other deer at Cheryl’s house that he looked after with the same love and care he gave to Buckwheat.

Sarge was assisting Cheryl as she cared for and treated injured, abandoned, and helpless deer. They provided the deer with all the care and affection they could, even though some couldn’t make it. One day, Cheryl brought in a fawn, and Sarge sprang into action, sniffing and nosing around to determine its condition. Cheryl also noted that the fawns were drawn to Sarge and felt safe in his presence. Sarge remained by their side and continued to offer his support…

Great Job… Sarge,

Sarge was a loyal German shepherd who proved that friendship knows no boundaries, not
even between different species. He showed an unbreakable commitment to Buckwheat, a
fawn who was injured, which warmed people’s hearts and demonstrated the true meaning of friendship. Despite their disagreements, Sarge became Buckwheat’s unwavering protector, sticking by his side until the young fawn was healthy and strong again.

Their relationship was proof of dogs’ incredible capacity for empathy and love. Sarge’s
actions revealed a profound sense of understanding and compassion that went beyond basic instinct. He provided Buckwheat with comfort, security, and unfailing support, fully
embracing his role as a protector.

Sarge, a gentle and nurturing dog, continued to care for other wounded and runaway animals even after Buckwheat, one of the animals, grew up and returned to the wild. Cheryl, who brought these animals home, found comfort in Sarge’s presence. Sarge’s compassion helped the animals on their road to recovery.

Sarge’s simple yet profound acts of kindness remind us of the limitless potential of friendship and the beauty of unconditional love. His story illustrates the incredible bonds that can form between animals, showing us that true companionship knows no bounds.

This may give dogs their distinctive personalities, including a craving for human company
and also other animal kinds.
